St Rocco’s Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care, supporting people in the Warrington community from the moment they are diagnosed with an illness that is no longer curable.
The care at St Rocco’s is offered free of charge to everyone. They provide holistic care, supporting each patient with respect and dignity and offering them choices about their care. They believe in making every day count for patients, their carers, families and loved ones.
Each year, it costs St Rocco’s over £5 million to provide care across Warrington. As they are a charity, 75% of this is funded through voluntary donations, fundraising and gifts in wills. Without the support of the community, they simply couldn’t survive.
St Rocco’s offer a range of services including inpatient care, medical outpatient appointments, an Integrated Palliative Care Hub and Hospice at Home provision. They also offer complementary therapies, physio and occupational therapy, social care and counselling, with the aim of supporting patients to stay as well as possible for as long as possible. They also care for carers and loved ones, offering relaxation sessions, complementary therapies, and family support where appropriate as well as providing bereavement counselling.
